Understand the level of the exam

Google describes Generative AI Leader as a business-level certification centered on understanding generative AI and supporting adoption, rather than technical implementation. The guide includes fundamentals, Google Cloud offerings, improving model output and business strategy. You still need precise concepts; business-level does not mean learning a list of slogans.

Organize learning around decisions

Start a decision notebook rather than a product glossary. For each topic, ask: what is the organization trying to achieve, what evidence would show success, what could go wrong, and who needs to oversee the result?

As an original study exercise, imagine a team drafting customer-support replies. Write the desired outcome, the information needed, and the mistakes a reviewer should catch. Then change the scenario to an internal knowledge assistant. Notice which requirements change. These are learning exercises, not recalled exam scenarios.

Compare concepts before memorizing names

Use the official guide to choose pairs of concepts you confuse. Write a one-sentence distinction, then an example where choosing the wrong approach would matter. Check the distinction against Google documentation rather than relying on a chatbot summary alone.

When a product name changes or a course uses older terminology, consult the current guide and source documentation. Keep a dated note of the terminology you verified. Avoid guessing that every renamed service has identical behavior or scope.

Make evaluation part of every use case

For your support-reply exercise, create three made-up examples: an ordinary request, an ambiguous request, and a request with missing information. Describe what a useful answer would do and when a human should review it. This is our suggested way to practice evaluating a business proposal; it is not a formal certification task.

Discuss data access, quality, cost and acceptable errors as separate concerns. A proposal can be appealing while still needing stronger evidence that it meets the actual business need.

Use a repeatable study session

Try a 30-minute routine: five minutes recalling last session, ten reading one official topic, ten answering or explaining a scenario, and five noting a gap to revisit. Shorten or extend it to suit your background.

Before booking, compare your notes against the full current guide. Explain unfamiliar objectives without looking them up first. Our Generative AI Leader pack is still being developed; use the official preparation resources meanwhile. No practice score or fixed study duration guarantees a pass.
