If you need to discuss cloud choices with customers or engineering teams, Cloud Digital Leader is a sensible place to explore. If you want to deploy and operate workloads, investigate Associate Cloud Engineer. These are different goals, rather than mandatory rungs on a single ladder.
Bring your existing experience
Experience with AWS or Azure gives you useful concepts: identities, networks, compute, and storage. It does not make the services interchangeable. Use comparisons to orient yourself, then learn Google Cloud resource hierarchy, identity patterns, and the operating model of each service.
Choose a manageable study loop
Read the official guide, attempt a small diagnostic, review gaps, and practice the relevant task. For a business-focused certification, focus on explaining why a service solves a need. For an engineering credential, add hands-on deployment and troubleshooting.
Check the current catalog
Certification names, coverage, and beta offerings change. Our catalog distinguishes the official certification from our own practice-pack availability. A coming-soon label means we have not released that preparation product. Always verify exam requirements with Google before booking.
